Government Relations at York University aims to cultivate and enhance strategic relationships with elected and non-elected officials at all levels of government and to advance York's institutional priorities and vision in the process. Our goal is to increase awareness of the University’s unique strengths and objectives while promoting a broader understanding of York, its complexities and operational requirements.

Contacting Government Officials
Faculties, departments and units at York University are frequently interested in contacting public officials at all levels of government to secure their support for University initiatives, invite them to speak at events, or to share information of interest with them.
In order to maintain professional working relationships with these public officials, the Office of the President has developed a protocol that requires all university departments and units contact the Director, Government Relations prior to initiating contact with these officials.

Alumni in Government
York University has a reputation for preparing engaged global citizens who have an impact in communities around the world.
